Key info

Below, you will find all the details about how the Sobinco camps work.

Where will the Sobinco camps take place?

Address:

Sobinco – Waregemstraat 5, 9870 Zulte

Reception, Drop-off & Pick-up

The camp takes place on-site at Sobinco. The central hub is the TOF building (ground floor). Here you will find:

  • The reception (easy to spot thanks to our large BOENK! beach flags)
  • Before- and after-school childcare
  • The designated spot to drop off and pick up your child(ren)

Camp Facilities & Rooms

Indoors, we fully adapt the spaces in the TOF building to suit the children:

  • Creative Room: A dedicated space for arts & crafts
  • Nap Room: A quiet conference room prepared for the little ones' afternoon nap
  • Cozy Toddler Village: An inviting open space filled with various play corners

Outdoors as much as possible!

When the weather is nice, we spend most of our time in the courtyard garden. From storytime, circle games, face painting, and mini plays to picnics together: as long as it stays dry, we head outside! The short walk between the TOF building and the courtyard garden is always safely supervised.

Did you know that a camp costs less than you think? After the camp, we will provide you with:

  • A tax certificate, allowing you to recover up to 45% of the costs via your personal income tax return.
  • A certificate of participation, which you can submit to your health insurance provider (mutualiteit) for an additional reimbursement.

Who are the camp counselors?

At camp, a dedicated team is present every day, structured as follows:

  • 3 camp counselors (one dedicated leader for each of the 2 groups + a support/floating counselor)
  • 1 overall camp supervisor

Familiar faces all week long

Each group of maximum 16 children has one dedicated counselor. Because they stay with the same group all week, the children quickly build a strong bond and feel right at home.

The floating counselor isn't tied to a single group, but jumps in to offer extra support wherever needed.

The Camp Supervisor

Our camp supervisor leads the staff, helps out within the groups when necessary, and oversees the smooth running of the daily program. The supervisor is also your direct point of contact before and after the camp day.

The Regional Coordinator

Behind the scenes, an experienced regional coordinator closely monitors the camp location. They stay in daily contact with the camp supervisor and visit the site several times a week for extra support and quality control.

What can you count on?

  • Experienced counselors (18+) with proven experience in leading camps.
  • Unique activities and camp themes: unforgettable experiences that leave a lasting impression.
  • Small groups, personal attention.
  • Maximum 16 children per group.
  • Toddler-proof: age-adapted activities, a dedicated toddler village, and a cozy nap room.
  • Bonus: A complimentary BOENK! T-shirt for all participants.
  • A daily piece of fruit for the afternoon snack is included in the registration fee.

How large are the groups?

  • We provide one group with a specific camp theme for toddlers (aged 2.5 to 5 years) and one group with a camp theme for primary school children (aged 6 to 12 years).
  • As a result, a single group may include a range of ages. Our team handles this smoothly by differentiating their approach and tailoring activities so every child can enjoy a fun, age-appropriate camp experience!
  • Children are placed in small groups of a maximum of 16, ensuring a warm, personal, and nurturing environment.
  • At the Sobinco camps, there are a maximum of 32 spots available per week (1 toddler group and 1 primary school group).
